Joe Leech and I are co-curating the Bristol Skillswap group for six months while Laura Griffiths (Skillswap organiser extraordinaire) takes some time off to get married.
Bristol Skillswap is a largely technically oriented group of local practitioners seeking to share their expertise and experience in a variety of web-related stuff including open source content management systems, internet security, dot com management and more. It’s a good group, run and hosted by volunteers, dedicated to learning. How can one not approve or offer to help?
This week is our first group, about The Plone Content Management System, kindly demonstrated by Rick Hurst, a Bristol based web developer. We will video it and post a stream to The Watershed’s web server afterwards.
Should be fun.
The group is kindly sponsored by Knowledge West because they are, like us, keen on sharing knowledge between the academic and practical sectors, and beer is kindly provided by Team Rubber because they like beer and are all round good guys.
