Gurteen group discussion: KM: what are the bottom line benefits?

The decision was reached via a vote; we’re off on discussing:

1. What are the bottom line benefits of being knowledge-driven in an
organisation?
2. What would this mean operationally?

There are holes in these questions, which will be interesting to pick out. We chose to leave it un-specific deliberately in keeping with the general format of the forums (ie I’m not going to analyse the question and break it up before kicking off the thread). But if you had an interest in some of the likely issues, read David’s piece on why KM initiatives fail
