A double thumbs-up to fellow Open Innovation-ers, Andy Parkhouse and Simon Berry for continuing to do good stuff for the employees and volunteers:

Well done to Andy Parkhouse, boss at hyper creative local digital agency Team Rubber for starting a pledgebank pledge to create a new bank holiday: ‘Bristol day’. Double well done to him for actually following through on his pledge when ten people signed up, and giving his staff the day off. In accordance with the pledge (which I eagerly signed) I hereby officially declare 26th October an unofficial Bank Holiday and will not work.

Congratulations to the astoundingly motivated Simon Berry, maestro at the brilliant Ruralnet for bicycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats in ten days in order to raise money for Ruralnet’s participation fund, enabling their volunteers to attend their annual conference.

Brilliant.
