Membership and real engagement: Online Information 2007

October 24, 2007 – 12:06 pm

Online Information looks fun this year. As well as the conference stuff going on upstairs,  a bunch of familiar names are doing ‘Online Information Seminar‘ slots on the showfloor.  These are free to anyone coming to the exhibition (which is free) and there are some good looking sessions which are worth coming along to.

One of them is mine - it’s to be another co-presentation with Lyndsay Rees-Jones (Membership Services, CILIP) about our real experiences from setting up the membership communities for CILIP - technology and organisation design stuff.

We remain keen in our belief that it’s worth sharing the real stuff we learnt, so come along and ask some sticky questions. Here’s the blurb:

11:30 - 12:00 - Wednesday 5 December: Theatre E

The three phases of building a practical, responsive, meaningful and engaging membership community (on and offline); practice and theory. Brought to you by Ed (community consultant) and Lyndsay (MSU advisor, CILIP)

Seminar details here

I’m also keen on getting a bunch of people out for a Wednesday night knowledge drink up after the exhibition/conference so will be hassling the CILIP crowd, David Gurteen and anyone else to muster up some support for such a gathering…
