About 20 of us met up in the Pervasive Media Studio on the 11th September to discuss ‘Engagement’.
Jack Martin Leith gave a highly thought provoking 15 minute presentation on the subject covering a range of angles as broad as the history of PR to inter-personal relationships, and how ‘Engagement’ covers so many bases.
Discussions ranged from the highly emotional and personal meaning of engagement to employee engagement, stakeholder engagement, its roots and uses by different groups. Great stuff. Well done all!

… And here is a picture from ‘Third Sector’ magazine of the new Pudsey Bear logo, ‘designed to engage a new generation of supporters’… with a megaphone! I am sure Jack would see the funny side:

The next Bristol Gurteen K-cafe will be on the subject of story-telling, in late November.

Great evening, Ed (and Jack). Thanks for hosting.
Thanks for showing the Pudsey image. I laughed my socks off! If anyone reading this wants to share the joke, send me an email (http://www.sitesthatarecool.net/email/?u=jack&d=jackmartinleith.com) and I’ll email the slides and speaker’s notes to you. Thanks again to Ed and Erica. Jack
P.S: I must have been in the Gents when the photo was taken. Lovely!
